Many of you are aware that Anissa Mayhew, a beloved and inspirational member of the blogging community, suffered a stroke this past fall. Her husband, Peter, has kept us all up-to-date on her progress through her blog, Hope4Peyton. In case you haven’t seen his latest update, you’ll want to check it out because it brings good news – Anissa’s leaving the hospital!

That’s right. After a long struggle, Anissa has fought back. She’s obviuosly such a strong and determined woman, and she’s come so far. What an amazing testament it is to her strength that she is coming home. Peter reports that there are still many challenges Anissa faces, but he’s optimistic and grateful that they are able to face them together, as a couple and as a family.

One of the challenges Anissa has in front of her is the outpatient therapy she will be undertaking to get back more of her physical strength. The daily co-pay for this much needed therapy is $100. That’s a large financial burden for this family who’s already been through so much.

We at Type-A Mom know that the blogging community has come through so many times before in support of its members. Please consider donating whatever you can to help offset the cost of our friend, Anissa’s, therapy. Any help we can provide will help this family to focus their energies on what matters most, getting Anissa back on her feet, rather than worrying about the monetary cost of doing so.

Just click on the button in the left hand side bar to go to the secure Paypal donation site. Any amount you can spare will help and is very much appreciated. Feel free to grab the code from the Aiming Low website to display the button on your own blog or web page. And thank you!
