I truly enjoy being a mother, it is such a rewarding experience. I am also wife, a preschool teacher, a musician/singer/songwriter, and a freelance writer. I truly enjoy having a rich and full life it surely keeps me productive. I am the type of person who cannot sit still, I always have to be doing something. I am learning that I do need to take mommy timeouts just to breathe. Not doing this can cause for a stressful life and of course this is not healthy.



I love to write. This is like therapy for me. I discovered that I had a writing talent shortly after my son passed away. Everyone can have undiscovered talents. They usually are brought out after a life changing experience. Even in the midst of my crazy and hectic life schedules, I am still able to find a time to sit down and just write.

Reading is another way I find that I can get relief from the day. When my daughters are napping I try to sit down with a good book. This definitely relieves stresses from the day.

I also enjoy working out. This lets out stress and tension. And of course this is a healthy way of living.

Music is also a big part of my life. Sitting down and playing the piano and singing really brings a sense of calmness and peace. I couldn’t do without my music.

Even if it doesn’t look like I may get a timeout I force myself even if it’s only for 5 minutes. Mommies deserve some sort of sanity througout the day. Being a preschool teacher and a mother of a preschooler I sometimes feel like I may lose my sanity but forcing a timeout keeps the balance.
