Crayon Cleanup Tips
Most people with a toddler will at some point find lovely masterpieces drawn on their tables, walls, doors and floors. No amount of supervision can keep a toddler from losing or hiding at tiny crayon that they will find even if you couldn’t.
So in an effort to help you clean up these messes a little more quickly I have a few tips that have worked for me.
- I always try a wipe first. On some surfaces it works and cleans up quickly.
- Mayonnaise (this works best on wood surfaces to avoid a greasy mayonnaise stain) Rub some mayonnaise on a crayon mark and let it soak in for several minutes. Then wipe the surface with a damp cloth.
- Baking Soda and this is my favorite. Dampen a cloth and dip it in baking soda, simply scrum the marks until they are gone. You may have to wash and repeat with the damp cloth and baking soda mixture but it’s worth it and works quickly.
I hope these ideas help you with your next adventure of the artistic child!
