Exercise is as Easy as a Walk
Like most women, weight has been an issue for me especially after the birth of my two children. Over the years, I’ve tried many diets and failed. Either I would get motivated to diet but not exercise, or exercise and not diet.
Committing to a healthy lifestyle is important not only to your overall well being but to your family as well. In January of this year, I made my New Year’s resolution to lose weight. I had big plans. I wanted to lose over 50 pounds and get into a bikini for the first time ever in my life.
I signed up for Weight Watchers Online. I was motivated; and for a few weeks, I was losing weight. But like all the other times I’ve dieted, something happened to make me lose sight of my goal. This time, however, has been different, instead of giving up and not continuing with the program, I’ve plugged away. To date, I’ve lost 13 pounds since starting in January.
My biggest obstacle in this journey is exercise. I couldn’t seem to get my self motivated enough to exercise until the other day when I was walking through the DVD section of our local Wal-Mart. I found an exercise DVD entitled, “Walk Away the Pounds with Leslie Sansone.”
Reading the DVD box that includes 3 DVDs in one and two inflatable 2-pound water-based weights, I knew this was an exercise program that I would use on a regular basis.
The DVD is divided into three different workouts:
- The 1-mile walk (the approximate run time is 18 minutes)
- The 2-mile walk (the approximate run time is 30 minutes)
- And the 3-mile walk (the approximate run time is 48 minutes)
The program uses four basic moves with walking in place and using the “walk away weight balls.”
- Front leg kicks
- Back leg kicks
- Side-to-side steps
- Knee lifts
Normally after a workout, I am so exhausted that I fall asleep early in the evening. Since I have been using the program, I have more energy then I ever used to.
If you are looking for an easy workout that doesn’t take a lot of time or money then I recommend the DVD, “Walk Away the Pounds with Leslie Sansone.”
