anissaThe entire mom blogging (and blogging) community is saddened by the news that Anissa Mayhew has suffered a stroke. While we all feel so helpless about the situation, but there are things you can do to help and support.

Anissa is a beloved member of the mom blogging community. Always ready with a clever quip or insight, she started blogging when her child got cancer at Hope for Peyton. Since she has launched a social blog, Aiming Low. She was also a speaker at the Type-A Mom Conference. I know I speak for everyone at Type-A Mom when I say how horrified and saddened we all are.

On Tuesday, the news spread across Twitter and Facebook that she had a stroke. Quickly, the shocked and saddened updates followed. The hashtag #prayersforanissa has been one way many of us have coped. We’ve shared our love for Anissa, and shared our global concern for her an her family.

The blogosphere has exploded too. As of this writing, nearly 300 bloggers signed the Mister Linky at the bottom of this post with their posts sharing such an outpouring of love and support for her.

Please be sure to add the Help Anissa widget here to all of your sites and blogs.

And keep Anissa in your thoughts. We are all pulling for you!
