I really enjoy testing beauty products. It is a lot of fun to try the newest prodcuts on the market and to give my opinion. It doesn’t take too much time but it is really worth it in terms of free product and being able to influence companies with your thoughts.

Join the DailyMakeover Beauty Board to “earn great rewards and become an important part of the beauty product decision-making process!” This site touts the fact that consumers can influence major brands with their voice and get cash or gift certificates in exchange.

The Daily Makeover even has their own Beauty Bloggerati which is “an elite group of beauty bloggers from across the country who scoop the latest trends, spill insider tips, and are addicted to reviewing products. They sniff, slather, smear, blend, buff, and blow-dry to bring you the latest beauty news every day.”

I saw New Beauty TestTube recently on The Today Show and although I have not personally signed up for it, I am intrigued. The premise is this: “Throughout the year, TestTube subscribers will receive four different exciting tubes filled with deluxe samples of the latest and best beauty products. The value of the samples you’ll receive will always significantly exceed the subscription price. You will be charged $29.95 (plus $8.95 for shipping and handling) as each new TestTube™ is sent to you.”

For beauty junkies, this seems like an amazing deal but for this somewhat frugal mom of three, the $29.95 every three months still seems a little steep to me.

This has been one of my favorites so far. The Chick Advisor Product Review Club “is a fun way for you to test and talk about new products – often before they hit store shelves.”

Members get “access to exciting new products to test, review and keep! Past items have included Mineral Makeup, Mascara, Lip Balm, Shampoo & Conditioner, Body Lotion, Body Wash, Spa Products, Books, Electronics Accessories and even Chocolate! All products are full sized (not samples).”

To join, a member must have written five reviews. Look around your bathroom ladies and review the first five things that you find. This took me about 20 minutes. Once you have completed your reviews, join the Chick Advisor Product Review Club here.
