As a playmat owner before, each one basic and not too spectacular yet nonetheless having done it’s job, I didn’t think playmats could offer much more that a safe, clean place for your infant to play, but I was wrong.

First impressions with the Kushies® Shangrila Multi-Sensory Activity Mat & Portico Archway Accessory, it seemed happily colorful and appealing on the website, but the picture simply did not do it justice. This playmat is something you have to see to truly appreciate; the buttery-like softness on the colorful sided play area is exactly what I would wish any child would play upon. The interchangeable toys are fun to play with. So much fun, in fact, my toddler and four-year old were enthralled for quite some time with it! My eight-year old even came to the aid of my newborn, who was fussing, with one of the toys Kushies nicknamed “Squeak Pod™”, and while squeaking, shaking and crinkling it (yes, it does all of that!) he said “Whoever this company is that created this, they’re geniuses!”

My kids really love the cute toys the Kushies® Shangrila Multi-Sensory Activity Mat & Portico Archway Accessory comes with. My toddler carries them everywhere, as they easily Velcro on and off to put them wherever you’d like. It also seems to be quite the nap spot. My newborn has fallen asleep quite comfortably there with no problems, and rested well. Bigger brother too.
