I don’t think the “like” is connected to Pinterest. You have to click through to the profile and then choose to either follow the person and all their boards or choose individual boards to follow. Hope that helps!

Thanks for explaining bounce rate to me! I knew it had something to do with how people interacted with your page, but I had no idea if a high or low number was good!

I’m pretty sure I became aware of Type-A Mom sometime in 2008 because I remember that image with the red at the top and also all the sister sites (food?). I wrote a little bit for one of the later redesigns/transfers, before the current site.

I have actually been looking for something like this for about a month and have yet to find a good email listserv that’s free! I’m part of a Mom’s Bible study and we communicate by email, but it means keeping a group list of all the members and they come and go by quarter which [...]

Krista Herling commented on the blog post Blog Advertising – Bloggers, Let’s Put Money Where Our Mouths Are 1 year, 3 months ago
This is a great idea! I do have ad spots on my blog, but not from other bloggers. I’d definitely be willing to do a discount and/or a featured blog of the month kind of thing. I agree with Katja too, I only host ads that are a good fit for my blog even if [...]

Wow, that would have been rough. As a Type-A person myself I always have a picture of how things should go in my head and if they don’t turn out that way it’s really hard for me to adjust. I can’t imagine something that big changing, especially when it was something you really wanted and [...]

Spring is coming! I have green stems poking up! Time for weeding… wait, what, more snow? Okay!

I read that article too and was a little put off by it, but I couldn’t quite put it into words. You have summed it up perfectly! Thanks! I was all for no “character” clothing and toys, but my son has fallen in love with Cars and all things related. Back then it wasn’t connected [...]

Krista Herling commented on the blog post Teens and Alcohol – Is a Little Sip at Home Really That Bad? 1 year, 3 months ago
I agree with you Sandy. My parents drank very infrequently when I was growing up (it’s really weird to see wine in their fridge now actually!), but they would let us take a sip when they had it. I think this takes it out of the atmosphere of peer pressure and makes it something that [...]

“Today it is all about shock value, dysfunction and a lack of family morality.”
Which is exactly why we don’t have cable and never have. It’s neither entertaining, nor wholesome. Good luck with finding some more enlightening things to fill your spare time!
What little of it you probably have!

Well, I would probably appreciate this advice more if I hadn’t watched him on the Bachelorette completely break those rules and treat Jillian like she was little more than an object. I’ve heard (didn’t watch) that he was slightly more mature on the Bachelor Pad, but still… probably won’t be purchasing this one!
