Rembrandt 2 Hour Whitening Kit Review
I am someone who really gets paranoid about her teeth. I had braces in my early twenties. My parents could not afford them when I was growing up so as soon as I began working full time, the braces went on.
Five long years later, they came off but in between, I really developed a sense of paranoia about how yellow my teeth look. The braces were ceramic and everything that I ate, showed on them. I became the expert at which food colors I could eat and those that I needed to stay away from. I don’t think that I ate ribs for years. Ribs were a double whammy. Discoloration and food in the teeth.
As a result, I am well versed in the wide array of teeth whitening products available today. I have tried many of them with the exception of the Zoom whitening procedure. My latest whitening product was sent to me but the fabulous people at Rembrandt. My teeth are ridiculously yellow but they are not George Hamilton white either so I do need a little help from time to time.
The Rembrandt 2-Hour Whitening Kit definitely exceeded my expectations. I am a little old school when it comes to teeth whitening and I am very used to the methods that take a week or ten days. So I was more than a little intrigued when the Rembrandt 2-Hour Whitening Kit showed up.
The first thing that I did was go online and see what others had to say about the kit. FYI, whether you are trying a new product, reviewing a product or thinking about buying a product, it always pays to check it out online first. The reviews were little mixed on the Rembrandt 2-Hour Whitening Kit but I was still optimistic because what I did learn from reading all of these reviews were some good tips & tricks on how to best use the kit.
So here is what I learned. I did not use the teeth trays that came with the kit. I already had my own from previous teeth bleaching ventures. These were trays perfectly formed to my teeth and the Rembrandt version had to be held in place. Several reviewers also recommended using a cotton swab to put the product on. Once I got past the skeevy feeling of cotton on my teeth, I did note that they were evenly covered with the product. I only used about half of an ampule even though the directions call for the entire ampule (this was another tip that I saw over and over).
The product stays on for 20 minutes at a time. Then you remove the trays and rinse. Wait ten minutes and apply it all again or do it another day. It is your choice. I did it all at once. Total time was about 3 hours which included waiting for ten minutes in between each bleaching. Plus I still have an entire 2 hours left because I only used half of the product as so many reviewers suggested.
My teeth look amazing. They are white. They are bright. I definitely noticed a different. So did my husband and so did my son. In fact, he kept telling me to smile because he thought that my teeth looked so good.
The Rembrandt 2-Hour Whitening Kit retails for about $19.99 but if you go the Rembrandt website, you can download a coupon for $5 off.
Please note that if you have sensitive teeth or gums, it may be best to avoid this product and indeed all teeth bleaching products or at least consult with your dentist first.
