Too Old For Toddlers
I am 33 and feel too old for the toddler stage.
To all of those mothers out there who are 30 and over, I wonder if you feel anything like me about having young children?
I have an 8 year old and decided to wait another 4 years before trying to have another baby and I almost expected to get pregnant immediately when I finally decided I wanted another child, but if doesnt always work that way.
By 28yrs old my husband and I started trying for another baby and 2 years (all up 6 years) we were still none the wiser as to why we couldnt have another child.
Anyway, to cut a long story short we were offered a baby by my sister inlaw and gladly accepted, when she was born I brought her home to Australia and found out I was due to have a baby, what should have been a dream was a little more like “oh no!”.
So on my 31st b day I was giving birth to my little sahara.
Now 2 years on I am in the thick of toddlers!
I dont seem to have the stamina to keep up with them, and although they were perfect babies, they are now drama queens!
I feel so blessed, but at the same time overwhelmed sometimes.
Heres a little tip. Dont take it for granted that you will be able to automoatically get pregnant when you want, and it only makes it harder as you get older to get pregnant.
So enjoy the first couple of years of married bliss and then get to making babies!
