If you are a blogger (or you know one who has kids), it can be so fun to find some blogging-related gifts for the children. The tough thing about being a mom blogger is trying to explain to children just what on earth you actually do. Sure, kids understand artist, firefighter and even writer, but the term blogger can be so confusing (shoot, for grown ups and for kids). This book, written by a mom blogger, really does a wonderful job taking children through what a blogger is and what that means. The book is really fun to read, and the illustrations are cute. This is also good for a pretty wide mix of age ranges (read to younger children, let older children read it to the parent).

This is a fun movie for kids of bloggers, especially girls.

A Teen’s Guide to Creating Web Pages and Blogs
For older children, it can be great to help them launch and start their own blog. This book, geared at teenagers, is written by teens, which I think is a nice touch. I find it a little amusing it covers MySpace (really?), so it is a tad dated. Still, it also covers creating a Facebook page, setting up a web site or blog and privacy/protection issues for teens online.
Nook Color
The ultimate high-end gift for the geek in training, a Nook Color is a great choice for e-reader for children due to its vast selection of Nook for Kids ebooks. Books in the Nook for Kids section are broken down by age group, subject, character and series. They also have books for parents to read to children, as well as books for children to read themselves.
Future Blogger T-Shirt
The kids have to take after their parents, right? With all those mad blogger skills? I love this t-shirt declaring the child is a future blogger.
