Wild Wild Vest
Vests have made a comeback both as a fashion and as a fashion accessory this summer. You will see them in the boardroom, at the shopping mall or just generally anywhere in public. What was once considered stuffy menswear is now being hailed as a way to make a sexy statement.
Vests are available in so many different fabrics and styles that you are certain to find one that meets your fashion needs. There are the classic buttoned menswear vests, the one piece vests, cropped & fitted or cropped & loose vests and the loose, long vests similar to a cardigan and worn like a jacket or layering piece.
Needing a new look? Throw a fitted vest on over a lacy camisole with some skinny jeans and you have the perfect outfit for an evening out with the girls. You can use the exact same look during the day by putting a looser fitting t-shirt underneath.
So what about wearing vests in the office? In many cases, a vest could replace a jacket which can be much more comfortable especially in the summer. The key is finding lighter weight vests that still look business like but are in a wonderful fabric. Pair your vest with a sheer, white blouse and the look will be fantastic. Add a slim pencil skirt and heels to complete the look. Professional yet feminine.
I have seen this season’s vests worn over dresses, worn alone and also worn as one of many layers. Vests are versatile and can enhance your look. Vests are here to stay, at least for a while. They are even popular on men this year. They are all over the fall runway for both men and women. What makes them so great is that one vest can work for three or four looks. InVEST in one today!
