Carrie Anton of Wonder: An Idea Studio joins us on Day 2 of the Type-A Annual Conference as part of our Beginning Blogger Academy to show how to pump up your profits by pitching one idea to multiple places.
Whether just starting out or a seasoned specialist, you could be leaving money behind if you don’t make the most of every good idea. In this session, learn how to take ideas beyond blog posts by pitching them like a pro to many profitable places.
Turning a good idea into a blog post is great, but why stop there? To best monetize your blog requires getting the most mileage from every idea. In this brainstorm-style workshop led by the co-author of “Me, Myself & Ideas: The Ultimate Guide to Brainstorming Solo” (Andrews McMeel, 2019), attendees will learn how one idea can lead down many profitable paths, including: freelance writing, branded content, affiliate marketing, campaigns, products, public speaking, podcast episodes, and books.
An Interview with Carrie
Question 1: What is your favorite part about presenting?
I love to make people laugh, and presenting provides the perfect opportunity for me to do so with out having to make a change in careers to stand-up comedy. Sitting through a boring presentation is a sure bet you won’t walk away inspired and energized to try something new or tackle a challenge. By infusing humor and interactive exercises into my presentation, I get to see the audience come alive–and it’s an amazing feeling when it happens.
Question 2: What are you most looking forward to as a Type-A presenter?
Question 3: Can you offer a tip to attendees to make the most out of their experience at a conference?
